  • In 1995, I got a three-year scholarship by the Swedish Board of Study. I finished both my undergraduate and post-graduate studies from 1995-1998. In 1998, I was awarded a year scholarship by the same Board in order to come to Bristol as a guest student. In summer 1998, I came to Bristol at the department of sociology as a guest student via my University in Gothenburg (Institutionen för Samhällesvetenskaperna). In 1999, I got another scholarship from the Swedish Board of Study in doing my doctoral studies. Between the years of 1999 to 2002, I worked on my doctoral thesis at the University of Bristol in England under the supervisions of Professor Gregor McLennan and Dr. Rohit Barot. I defended my dissertation at sociology department before Dr. David Shankland (internal examiner) and Bobby Said (external examiner) successfully with distinction. Since then I have been on a global tour of teaching and research in various countries around the world such as Malaysia, China, Russia, and Iran and so on and so forth.
