The Institute for Humanities and Cultural Studies(IHCS) hosted a group of scholars from Khujand University of Tajikistan on May 13, 2025.

This session, held at the Institute for Humanities and Cultural Studies(IHCS) in collaboration with the Tehran International Book Fair, opened a dialogue for academic exchange and mutual understanding between Tajik professors and researchers from the Institute for Humanities and Cultural Studies(IHCS).

The session began with a brief introduction by Dr. Ghayoomi about the institute. Dr. Moinzadeh, after welcoming the Persianate guests, emphasized the significance of the Persian language as a vital bridge between the two nations: "Through language, we understand the world. Language is the home of existence—we dwell in the same home." On behalf of the institute’s president, he expressed readiness for academic collaboration through faculty and student exchanges, as well as joint publications.

Dr. Nasrollahzadeh moderated the meeting, noting that while political borders separate the two countries, they share deep cultural and intellectual ties within the broader The Persianate Society.

The Tajik professors, expressing their gratitude and warm greetings from their country, shared their research perspectives in humanities, particularly anthropology, as conducted at Khujand University’s Anthropology Center. They hoped for future scientific cooperation between the institute and their university.

From the Institute for Humanities and Cultural Studies(IHCS), faculty members present at the meeting—including professors Erfatpour, Rostambeik, Mohagheghian, Hosseini, Vakili, Dalvand, Molaei, Kasraei, and Shakeri—welcomed the guests and discussed potential collaborative research areas.

After the professors of Khujand University visited the research institute's library, this scientific meeting ended in the hope of providing the necessary conditions for joint scientific research between Khujand University and the Institute for Humanities and Cultural Studies (IHCS).
