Convergence and Divergence; An Intercultural-Interreligious Dialogue

The dangers of religions, monotheistic, abrahamitic religions for the international peace between states and peace in a multireligious society as e.g. India is a burning topic of discussion today. Thus the relevance of the so-called interfaith dialogue becomes ever more important. This dialogue, the peace between religions seems to be so difficult because every religion claims an absolute truth, and at the same time, a truth specific to itself. Thus this symposium will go one step back. We explicitly ask the question: what is truth? In particular: what is truth in religion?
